Is this a guided cycling tour?
No. This is a digital self-guided Adventure Pack. You organise your own travel, accommodation, meals, bicycle, luggage and daily riding. Pete does not accompany you, and no support vehicle or luggage-transfer service is included.
What exactly will I receive?
You will receive the digital files listed in the product description, including the route and planning materials available in the pack at the time of purchase. The exact download contents must match the files attached to the WooCommerce product before publication.
Is accommodation included?
No. The pack provides planning guidance, but you are responsible for selecting, booking and paying for your accommodation.
Can I choose my own dates?
Yes. The main advantage of the self-guided option is that you decide when to travel, subject to accommodation availability, weather and your own arrangements.
Can I change the daily stages?
Yes. The suggested stages provide a practical structure, but you may adapt the journey to suit your fitness, available time and accommodation choices. Any changes you make are your own responsibility.
What fitness level do I need?
The N2 is a substantial multi-day cycling journey with repeated climbing and long days in the saddle. You should prepare for the distances and elevation involved and honestly assess your health, fitness and experience before travelling.
Which bicycle should I use?
A well-maintained road, endurance, touring or suitable electric bicycle may be appropriate depending on your experience and preferences. Your bicycle must be suitable for the route, correctly fitted and equipped with appropriate gearing, tyres and brakes.
Will the GPX files work with my device?
The files use the standard GPX format and are intended for compatible cycling computers and navigation apps. Import procedures and functionality vary, so you must confirm compatibility with your own device and software.
Do I need travel insurance?
Suitable travel insurance is strongly recommended. You should consider medical treatment, cycling activity, cancellation, personal belongings and bicycle cover. Check the policy wording carefully.
What happens if a road is closed or the route changes?
Roadworks, closures, weather, fires, events and other local conditions can affect the route. You are responsible for checking current conditions and following official signs, restrictions and emergency instructions.
